I qualified as a Level 3 VTCT Complementary therapist from The City of Bath College 2 years ago and am also a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists. After qualifying in 2013 I worked abroad on a Disney cruise ship as a Massage therapist where I became certified in hot stone massage, working on the cruise ship gave me a lot of experience with males and females of all different body types and with different issues that needed resolving. Since I returned in 2014 I have been my using my knowledge and experience to help people in the Wiltshire area.
I now practice out of L.AStudios in the centre of Trowbridge, as a thriving dance studio I see a lot of the dancers for treatments, as they are constantly training and putting strain on their muscles, my treatments not only help them to feel great and help with injuries but also to improve their post-recovery workout.
In 2014 I started studying Shiatsu at The Bristol School of Shiatsu. Shiatsu is a manipulative therapy developed in Japan which incorporates techniques of Japanese traditional massage, acupressure, stretching, and Western massage. Shiatsu involves applying pressure to special points or areas on the body in order to maintain physical and mental well being, treat disease, or alleviate discomfort. This therapy is considered holistic because it attempts to treat the whole person instead of a specific medical complaint. I hope to be fully qualified by 2016.
